This is another one of which I remember being particularly proud. This pride started my belief/superstition that the second playlist of every second month (i.e. late February, late April, late June, etc.) would turn out to be better than the three previous ones. This pattern actually proved to remain accurate well into September. This playlist doesn't have the same kind of comforting ebb and flow as my glorious late February one did, the result of what I suppose was a sequencing error. But it still has some great songs. "My Darling" is among my favorite Wilco songs, even if it's one of Jay Bennett's. "Autumn Sweater" is another song that I'd known for years and only in April got the guts to put on a playlist. "Baby C'mon" is refreshing in that it's in no way standard Malkmus/Pavement fare. It's just kind of a fun song, and it has my favorite line on all of Face the Truth, that being "I'm out here on a limby." I only included The White Stripes song because it was the sole song from the new album yet available. It's definitely not one of my favorites. Finally, the Sufjan Stevens track will forever be the song to which I was listening just before I saw Willy from The Real World on the street. Also, it's really good.
