Early February's playlist is composed mostly of songs I encountered on my bitchin' trip to Boston circa 2/1-2/6. I also distinctly remember listening to "16 Military Wives" by The Decemberists quite a few times, but somehow it didn't make the list. Further, since the last playlist had provided me with my introduction to The New Pornographers, I took the next logical step and decided to check out the A.C. Newman solo record. "Miracle Drug" remains, I think, one of the best songs of 2004, if not the entire decade thus far. Guero was still the exciting upcoming Beck record, and I guess I must have been listening to the Rushmore soundtrack a lot.
